Has it been a while since you’ve been a student? Or, did you try college before and decide it just wasn’t your thing? That’s OK, because now you know it’s time to tackle that college degree. Take the chance—we’ve got your back.
College can be tough, but it can also be one of the most rewarding decisions you ever make. It will give you greater employment opportunities, earning potential and personal satisfaction. You should be proud that you are taking the first steps!

First-time entering college
Section titled “First-time entering college”As a first-time college student, deciding to apply is the first step. Congratulations! We work hard to make Delta feel comfortable, even if it’s been a few years since you’ve been in school.
Transfer student
Section titled “Transfer student”Welcome to Delta! Even if we weren’t your first choice, we believe we’ll prove to be your best choice. Make sure you send your college transcripts so we can get your credits transferred.
Returning student
Section titled “Returning student”Welcome back! We’re happy to see you again. Whether you’ve taken a few semesters off or are coming back after a few years, gaining readmission and getting re-enrolled is simple.
Reconnect scholarship
Section titled “Reconnect scholarship”>Free or significantly reduced tuition for adults 25 and older. The Michigan Reconnect scholarship could cover the cost of Delta for you to get a degree or career training.

Credit for Prior Learning
Section titled “Credit for Prior Learning”Delta awards credit for prior learning. Perhaps you gained a skill during your service in the military or earned a specialized credential like an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license, you could be on your way to earning credit for your Delta certificate or degree.

Online
