Architectural Technology
With an associate’s degree in architectural technology, you may assist licensed architects, construction engineers and urban planners. Or, you could become a draftsperson, building appraiser or inspector.
This program prepares you for a technical-level career, but some courses are transferable to bachelor degree programs in architecture.
You gain skills and knowledge in the areas of:
- Architectural drafting
- Computer-assisted drafting (CAD) and design
- Construction methods and materials
- Building codes and standards
- Structural principles
- Cost estimation and planning documentation
- 3D modeling
