Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Every year, individual scholarships of $2,500 are awarded to CNC students – totaling over $30,000.

With a certificate in computer numerical control (CNC), you will have the skills to operate computer-driven lathes, mills, lasers and other machines to shape materials to precise dimensions. Study blueprints. Build tools and jigs. Make the things we use every day.

If you enjoy project-based work that combines math, problem-solving and working with your hands, then a career as a CNC machinist may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Our CNC lab is equipped with state-of-the-art machines and equipment, providing students a one-to-one ratio—no sharing required! This setup ensures more hands-on learning opportunities for each student. Another benefit of our comprehensive program is that our students have become highly sought after by area employers, often accepting apprenticeships that provide valuable on-the-job training alongside their formal education.

We keep up with industry trends, recently adding 3D metal printing and on-site Haas national certifications to our programs.

Delta College offers two computer numerical control (CNC) certificates and several related associate’s degrees. Build on your skills by exploring and advancing your education with Delta’s CNC Certificate of Achievement and the Advanced Certificate.
