Welding Technology

The welding program combines specialized welding training with related technical and general education courses to give you the knowledge you need to be successful in the field.

This is a laddered program, meaning the knowledge and credits from each program apply toward the next as you advance your education. You can earn a certificate of achievement, advanced certificate and associate’s degree. You can even transfer your credits to earn a bachelor’s degree.

At Delta, you get welding lab classes that provide hands-on training to help you succeed. You will use state-of-the- art equipment to learn SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding.

Program features:

  • Hands-on welding lab classes
  • Small class sizes
  • Safe, state-of-the-art lab facility
  • Welding certifications
  • Experienced welding faculty
  • AWS SENSE certified program

Our programs prepare you for a career in welding technology. After just one semester, with the Welding Certificate of Achievement, you will have the skills needed to start an entry-level welding job. With the Advanced Certificate, you’ll advance your specialized welding training and learn blueprint reading skills. The Associate of Applied Science furthers your welding training with related technical and general education courses. The associate meets the education requirement necessary to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a variety of welding careers.
